TLC Planning 1st Album In 10 Years, Casting For VH1 Biopic

Ten must be the lucky number for TLC, who has been one of R&B's most successful group of the 90's. After dealing with the death of member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, financial and health problems, they are back in the studio recording new music.

The two ladies told media at the 2012 MOBO Awards in the UK that they will be working on a biopic

and a new, hot album. They will be auditioning actors for their biopic, which will air on VH1.

"We're going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time," T-Boz told the BBC about the upcoming project. "We've always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That's what works for us and we don't have to worry about anybody else.

She adds: "When that stops working, maybe we'll hang up the towel, but that still works. We have to get into the studio and start feeling how we feel. You have to find yourself first and then you find the path and then you have an album before you know it."

A little over 10 years marks the death of Left Eye, who died unexpectedly in a car accident.

It is said that TLC will be putting together a performance with a hologram of Left Eye. It seems the R&B power houses are gearing up to put R&B back in it's rightful place.
