Adele 'thrilled' about motherhood

Adele is 'thrilled' about the prospect of motherhood.

The British singer and her partner Simon Konecki announced they were expecting a baby in June.

The 24-year-old star is reportedly preparing for the arrival of her first child by resting and staying out of the public spotlight.

"She is just thrilled," a source revealed to People magazine.

"She is totally laying low and nesting."

Adele was recently revealed as the voice behind the theme tune for new James Bond film, Skyfall.

The film's producer, Barbara Broccoli, says the mom-to-be put a lot of effort into the track.

"She spent a lot of time working on it and getting it right," Barbara explained.

"But she was worth the wait."

Along with her pregnancy, Adele has even more good news to celebrate.

Her hit Rolling in the Deep was named Song Of The Year at the BMI Awards in London yesterday.

Adele Thought Elton John Was Prank Caller

Adele Thought Elton John Was Prank Caller

Adele mistook Sir Elton John for a prank caller and refused to talk to him.

The '21' singer said she received a call from the 'Rocket Man' singer before she was due to attend the Grammy Awards ceremony this year where she won in six categories.

However she thought the 65-year-old star was someone else playing a joke on her.

She said: ''I had no idea who it was and he just started chatting away to me and I passed the phone over to a friend and I was like 'yeah, it's Elton'.

''It still cracks me up. It made me think my god, it's another level now.''

Meanwhile the 24-year-old star has revealed that she would be ''mortified'' if any of her ex-boyfriends wrote songs about her.

The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer said she would panic if one of her former partners publicly revealed details of their relationship.

Adele said: ''I'd f****** s*** myself. I'd be mortified. But also if they wrote songs about me, they'd be: 'This song's about Adele'. I've never given any names ever, but everyone's going to know this song's about me. No-one actually knows who my songs are about.''

When asked if she'd like to take some of the details she had revealed on her albums she admitted she would.

She said: ''Yeah, it's hard...I do wish I'd kept a lot of things to myself, but I never knew the album was going to be so big.''

Adele Scores Nine Million Album Sales In U.S.

Adele's smash-hit album 21 has hit nine million sales in the U.S., becoming only the 29th release in history to reach the landmark.

A year after Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band's Greatest Hits compilation became the 28th album to hit nine million sales, Adele's 21 made it into the exclusive club thanks to another 100,000-plus sales week, which propelled the album back up the Billboard 200 chart from four to two.

The album has now spent 64 consecutive weeks in the top 10, tying Paula Abdul's Forever Your Girl for the second longest top 10 run among albums by women. Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill holds the record with 72 weeks.

While that record is attainable for Adele, the Brit has some way to go before she can claim the record for the longest top 10 run in U.S. history - that belongs to the soundtrack to The Sound of Music with 109 weeks.
