Christina Aguilera shocked fans at the American Music Awards by flaunting her womanly figure in two skin-tight outfits.

Christina Aguilera showed off her curvy new figure at the AMA's on Sunday (18.11.12).

The 'Your Body' singer flaunted her fuller figure on the red carpet at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles a gathered lilac dress, teaming the gown with a new platinum blonde bob and a hefty dose of fake tan.

She then took to the stage in fishnet tights and a skin-tight star-spangled bodysuit designed by Lady Gaga's go-to designers, The Blonds New York.

However, the sexy star's look proved to be divisive amongst the public, who either praised her confidence or slammed her for promoting an unhealthy body image.

Christina - who has four-year-old son Max with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman - has spoken out about her recent weight gain, declaring she wants to empower women.

The 31-year-old singer said: ''Embracing your body is so important, especially as a woman. In this business we are so analysed and judged.

''It's wonderful to be in a position and have that side of myself that I can latch on to and empower other women. The older you get, the more important it is to embrace your body and your sexuality.

Although the 31-year-old singer shows off her a thin and fit figure, it could also be due to the magic of Photoshop. Xtina was recently spotted at the press call for “The Voice” with Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine still sporting her famous curves, which she has publicly accepted.

In an interview with Marie Claire, the blonde bombshell said, “I've been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. It's noise I block out automatically. I love my body. My boyfriend [Matt Rutler] loves my body. My son [4-year-old Max] is healthy and happy, so that's all that matters to me.”

In related “Voice” news, “Sesame Street” characters recently spoofed the singing competition on the upcoming season. Christina shared the clip via Twitter writing, "Now I know I've made it- love this!!! Love Sesame Street!"

Each coach is depicted with its own muppet and in the intro, muppet Carson Daley says, “Finally, a singing competition that’s entirely about your voice, no distractions and no cheap gimmicks.”

Christina Aguilera is 'consistently about two hours late' to The Voice set, a source reveals.

The singer is a judge on the US version of the talent show along with Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green.

Christina's tardiness has reportedly irked executives to the point that they've been forced to fine her.

'Christina is consistently about two hours late,' a source told Radar Online. 'For season three this has got to stop.'

The singer doesn't seem to be taking the measure seriously.

'Whatever her fine is now doesn't bother her,' the insider continued. 'She has so much money she probably doesn't notice. Higher-ups on the show want to raise it to a number that does bother her so she actually arrives on time.'

Christina's fellow panelists aren't impressed with her lack of time management either.

'They can't stand how late she is,' the source said. 'They know she's a girl and she takes longer to get ready, but this is ridiculous. And when she gets to set she still has to go through hair and makeup.'

It is rumoured that Adam became so enraged with Christina on set Monday evening that he screamed 'f**king c**t' at her in front of around 70 people.
